Hey everyone I've finally received it!

Please support, and check out my second major film as a makeup effects supervisor/artist, "Myth: Prologue". I'm very proud of how this came out, and of the amazing individuals I had the chance to work with. The creatures in this film were made possible by the hard work, blood and tears of myself, a coffee crazed woman with a paint brush, the teachings of master, Jerry Gergley ( Buffy The Vampire Slayer ), the backbreaking work of Jesse Lechok, the directing of Tony Báez Milán, the unique designs of Dorian Cleavenger and many other talented individuals. Thanks to everyone who made this possible!! I'm so stoked!

Hello amazing, creative friends!

I will be attending the Midwest Haunters Convention on June 3rd, 4th and 5th in wonderful Columbus, Ohio as a vendor! The business I co-own, "Oddities" will be there along with lots of goodies. Stop by and say hello! I will be there with three other amazing effects artists as well who have worked in the film industry for years. They've worked on everything from Kill Bill to Children of the Living Dead. Pick their brains, give me coffee, or just dance about in a costume.

Lotso' fun n' scary stuff!

See you there!

And I like chai tea! And caffine! And making artwork, whooppee!
Sorry, I'm a bit peculiar today. I'm feeling quite optimistic.

Soon, I will be graduating, and I am excessively thrilled to begin my ventures' into the real world. I must purchase a rhino for transportation...and goggles.

Hey everyone!
It's been a few months since I posted anything so I figured I'd give a little update.

I'm still working on "A Chance In Hell" ( go check out the trailer if you dig horror flicks! ), and a few new projects which include modeling various themed outfits, working on the construction of a haunted attraction called "The Fright Farm" in Smithfield, PA ( check it out in October! ), and possibly working on another haunted attraction in Moundsville, PA called "The West Virginia State Penitentiary: The Dungeons of Horror" - creepy fun!

Aside from that the two adopted kittens Shane ( my lovah ) and I purchased are doing well. We've named them Valo and Mila, and they are something else. Valo enjoys attempting to play my guitar. I'm going to try to videotape it.

This time next year I'll have graduated from the SFX/Make-up school I'm attending. It's exciting to know I will finally, FINALLY be out of school and into the world, making art on a daily basis. As for where I'm going to move, I have no idea. I'm thinking of California, but seems a bit pricey. Worth a try though.

     Hope everyone is doing well!
<3 Thank you for all of the wonderful comments, critiques, and faves!

My first film!

Journal Entry: Fri May 28, 2010, 5:07 AM
So, I've just received my first job on a film. I'll be creating creature concepts and helping out with make-up design. You can check it out on youtube, it's called "A Chance In Hell." If you don't dig gore, skip that part, but yes, I'm very exited :)

[link]

There's a small explanation of the film in the youtube trailer. Creepy stuff. Should be an interesting experience!

Other than that I will also, most likely, be helping to put on a "Zombie Apocalypse" in the PA/Pittsburgh area at the Fright Farm this upcoming fall. Check it out

More sculptures/art up soon, just have to get the photos done :)

I. Am. David. Bowie.

Journal Entry: Mon May 10, 2010, 4:40 AM
Hello again everyone,
It's been a while since I posted anything and I have a bit of time this morning so I thought I'd post an update on what's been going on lately.

I'm here in PA, finally transferred to the SFX school, and I love it. The people are pretty friendly and my professors are very skilled in what they do. I'm learning from a professor named Jerry actually, that worked on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and of course I've gotten to know Tom Savini. Both are very nice, helpful and interesting individuals. I feel lucky to be here.

I've been trying to keep up a steady creation of both SFX, some traditional art, modeling and sculpting. You'll see more sculpting, make-up and modeling from me, and hopefully some oil paintings in there soon. I've really appreciated the warm and helpful critiques and comments from all of you so keep them coming!

Aside from making art I've been trying to find a decent place to live in California. The search hasn't been so bad, and I'm excited to leave "Appalachia". Shane, my significant other and Tofurky stealer, will be going with me. It feels amazing to have finally found someone <3 We shall travel the world and adopt way too many animals most likely, lol.

On another note - today I get turned into David Bowie for a celebrity change project at the school. Interesting...we'll see what happens. Apparently, I get to wear sparkly, turquoise pants, which is undeniably.....hot. I've never been in drag before either so I'm actually excited to see how this thing turns out.

Well, time to go. Hope to hear from you all soon! :XD:

Hey all!

Hope everyone is doing well. Lately I've been pounded with work between moving into my new apartment in PA, preparing for my new college, and finishing artwork for friends/customers. Soooo much to doooo. Luckily my internal clock is insane, and I wake up at about 5am every morning ( without an alarm, yes ). :coffeemachine: Gives me a few extra hours a day.

I recently won a scholarship to attend my new school ( Douglas Education Center ) which was an awesome surprise. I've been to two other colleges, and I feel like I'm pretty familiar with most fine arts, but not sculpture/sfx, which is what this school ( yes my final one haha, took me a while to find a place that offered what I wanted, Highschool didn't help me at all ) focuses on. I guess they loved the stuff I entered in though so hey, I won't question them! In this economy, and as a full time student I'll take whatever they give me!

Most of my work in the next couple of months will probably be cosmetic related ( sfx makeup ), sculpture, props and animatronics ( robotic creatures, that sort of thing ). I'm still modeling of course so expect more photography!

If there's anything you'd like to see me sculpt, go ahead and toss in the idea! Not sure what the assignments will be but I'm sure I can make time to create other things.

Also - I'm visiting LA in May. I loathe airplanes, but since this is a place I plan on moving to in 16 months, I feel the need to sort of scope it out beforehand. Any tips for anyone who's never been there? Also, any tips on making flying LESS stressful? Hahahha, I usually just down about 8 buckets of chamomile tea.

Well, that's all for now. Thanks for all of the faves, all of the watches, comments, and critiques! I love everyone's feedback and I'm always ecstatic when I know that someone has enjoyed something I've created. `KubusRubus thank YOU for the prem. account!!

p.s. Banks erg me. Blahhh.

HEY EVERYONE!

THANK YOU!

For the faves, comments, and every other nice thing that you've all been doing lately. I really appreciate it and it means a lot to me that you enjoy what I do. The only thing that sucks is that it's been making it difficult to get back to everybody so I figured I'd just write something here :)

So, I don't know how things are in your neck of the woods but here in West Virginia we're getting MASSIVE amounts of snow. ( 11inches in the forcast ). It's safe to say I will definitely be moving to California lol.

Practice Compassion.

Journal Entry: Thu Nov 19, 2009, 9:21 PM
If you want others to be happy, practice compassion.
If you want to be happy, practice compassion

- As human beings we all want to be happy and free from misery.
We have learned that the key to happiness is inner peace.
The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as
anger and attachment, fear and suspicion,
while love and compassion, a sense of universal responsibility
are the sources of peace and happiness.

- We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts, we make our world.

- Pay no attention to the faults of others,
things done or left undone by others.
Consider only what by oneself is done or left undone.

- Fools wait for a lucky day
but every day is a lucky day
for an industrious man.

- Develop the mind of equilibrium.
You will always be getting praise and blame,
but do not let either affect the poise of the mind:
follow the calmness, the absence of pride.

- Conquer the angry man by love.
Conquer the ill-natured man by goodness.
Conquer the miser with generosity.
Conquer the liar with truth.

- Do not try to become anything.
Do not make yourself into anything.
Do not be a meditator.
Do not become enlightened.
When you sit, let it be.
What you walk, let it be.
