This is a prosthetic piece I created, applied and painted. It began with a sculpture on the model's facial lifecast, then I molded it in stone, cast it in foam rubber latex, applied it and painted it. Usually this entire process is done by a crew or at least two people - but I decided to do it entirely on my own - all in three days! I think I was crazy, but it worked out and was a great learning experience. I can work much faster than I thought!
The design is my own
Reptile man! I looked at desert lizards for reference, amazing little critters. I wanted this character to still appear humanoid, yet somewhat strong, tough and maybe even a little menacing due to his reptilian heritage.
Prosthetics are used in film, theater and television. Many of you may recognize prosthetic make ups and the process in creating them from the television show "FACE OFF" on the Sci Fi network. Same thing!
Hope you like it!
