Largon Creature Bustby ~Anesthetic-X

Traditional Art / Sculpture / Fantasy

This is a mask/bust I created from a concept sketch that popped out of my mind about three months ago: [link]

I have named it a "LARGON"! Part dragon, part aquatic creature, part feline. I made this little critter from the ground up: sketch, sculpture, mold, bust, paint job and hair punching - all done by me in one massive labor of love.

Originally I had made a separate copy and painted it more similar to the scheme of a Beta fish, however this turned out to look cartoony and childlike to me. I changed the scheme, made another copy of the mask and painted it to more closely resemble a feline. I feel like this, for whatever reason, looks much more natural for this species.

I plan on doing many more, and of course, getting a much better photo! This month i also plan on making a professional base so I can display him.
